Hello Folks.. In your collective wisdom, I humbly seek an opinion.. ? ..

What/which standard and modern front forks system,would be most suited to fit
a K750 frame, (the front wheel being spoked).

I just can't resist commenting that the best "standard and modern" front fork is of course k750 made my KMZ :-D

If you have a sidecar, many use the newer swing type fork also by KMZ made for newer Dnerp bikes.

If solo, I really don't think the original is really bad, but I know people who've changed all kinds of forks, but it depends a lot how much you can machine and do modifications. I doubt there is any other fork that is plug and play.

Somebody else can maybe comment from experience what bike front forks would work well in K-750?

Laitetaanny iha vaa suameks ko toi enkelska onnii huanoo et ei siit saa aina itekkää selvää.

Näihin laitteisiin on nyt sovitettavissa keula kuin keula. Kuitenkin menee aina enemmän tai vähemmän sovitteluksi, vähintään laakerijumpaksi, kun veli venäläinen on keksinyt ohjauslaakerin ulkohalkaisijaksi 51mm, liekkö sitten ollut alkuperäisessä sama koko? Heittämällä ei sovi kuin alunperinkin näissä laitteissa olevia.

Basically the message is that the russian size bearings will not fit any other bike's fork, and it is impossible to just bolt on any fork other then the quality Soviet types.

It seems the way to go is to lathe and weld new cavities for the bearing outer races to the frame.

Long time ago ( two years?) there were stories about Bmw bearings instead of original. Is it possible to mount Bmw fork too?

Is it possible to mount Bmw fork too?

I believe that is too expensive, because that bearing belongs old (yrs. 1955-1969) BMW:s.
